Clare beat Cork in a Munster classic

Clare have beating Cork in a true Munster classic at Cusack Park. In dramatic fashion do both Clare and Cork have both been eliminated from this years Hurling Championship with the Munster Final set to be Tipperary Vs Limerick.

The game had passion from start to finish with Clare’s Peter Duggan scoring 0-12 (0-09) frees. Tony Kelly and Shane O’Donnell both scored crucial goals for Clare to perhaps secure a huge victory for Clare, even with Cork being favorites going into the fixture.

Cork’s Patrick Horgan was in tremendous form as per-usual scoring a big tally of 2-09(0.08) frees and Alan Cadogan looked very lively for the Rebels, put it was Clare who proved to be the stronger side on the day in tough weather conditions in front of a sold out Cusack Park, with the finally score being Clare: 2-23(29) – Cork: 2-18(24)

Many will feel Cork have left the Munster Championship behind them, but yet again Clare were perhaps the hungry side on the day but both teams miss out on the Munster Final that will yet again be contested by All Ireland Champions Limerick and the very in form Tipperary.
