The mighty Cork have roared back into Munster Championship contention with a wonderful display of hurling beating 2018 All Ireland Champions Limerick 1-26 to 1-19.
Cork made a number of changes after a big defeat to Tipperary last week and the inclusion of Bill Cooper proved to be a huge impact. The Rebels lost Midleton man Conor Lehane to injury in the early stages of the clash and were pretty much chasing the game in the first half and trailed Limerick on a scoreline of 1-11 to 0-12 at halftime thanks to a fine performance from Graeme Mulcahy
Cork returned to the pitch for the second half with a bigger mood as they dominated from the blow of the whistle. Patrick Horgan was in superb form throughout the game, putting on a show for the legion of Rebel fans in attendance.
Eoin Cadogan was outstanding for the Rebels earning the eventual Man Of The Match while Mark Coleman & Daniel Kearney were as solid as ever.
Cork were eventual 7 point winners and welcome Waterford to Páirc Uí Chaoimh on June 8
