The SportsMatters team had a day long debate about so many iconic moments today. Yes, I think we spent a good 4 to 5 hours debating our best and most iconic WrestleMania moments. We went back and forth but damn we picked our top 3 ahead of next weeks highly anticipated WWE WrestleMania 37.
Here our top 5 moments starting with NUMBER ONE.
WrestleMania 35 – BECKY LYNCH becoming the double champ champ and SportsMatters duo Jerry Coughlan and Phil Connolly witnessed it live at Metlife New Jersey. Becky made history that night and us being Irish were super proud. The match itself was incredible from start to finish. Awesome triple threat also featuring Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair.
Wrestlemania 30 – Brock Lesnar ending The Undertakers streak. Yup this one still hurts bad, and damn this was a shock to the system. It took a number of years to heel the wounds on this one, but Brock was the guy that deserved to end the streak. It was a great match too. Both are iconic and The Undertaker will always be one of the most legendary wrestlers of our generations.
WRESTLEMANIA 18 was absolutely iconic. Hogan vs The Rock will perhaps go down as one of the greatest moments in all of Wrestling history. The match have everything, but the atmosphere was just electrifying from start to finish. That was for sure one of the most iconic moments in Wrestling history.
