Tipperary outclass Cork at Pairc Ui Chaoimh

Tipperary produced a masterclass display against a strong Cork side in a huge and mouth-watering Championship class at Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

Tipperary under the guidance of Liam Sheedy for his second spell in charge looked the much sharper and determined team on a beautiful summers day on Leeside. The first half produced some terrific hurling with Cork’s Patrick Horgan showcasing his skills and amazing accuracy and Tipperary’s Seamus Callanan and John O’Dwyer dominating the game.

The game was neck and neck in the first half but it was Sheedy’s men in blue and yellow who came firing out in the second half taking control of the huge encounter with huge displays from a hugely impressive forward line of Callanan and O’Dwyer and Jason Forde and Noel and John McGrath digging deep for Tipperary.

Cork showed signs of class with Seamus Harnedy scoring 1-2 and young Shane Kingston getting 0-3, but Cork have to improve from the loss at Pairc Ui Chaoimh as they face All Ireland Champions Limerick next week.

Final Score from a hugely impressive Munster Championship encounter Tipperary 2-28 Cork 1-24
