Williams beats Higgins in Crucible Final classic

Mark Williams become World Snooker Champion for the third time in his career beating ‘The Great’ John Higgins 18-16 in a World Snooker Championship Final classic at the Crucible in Sheffield.

It was 15 years since Williams last lifted a World Title and it makes the Welshman the oldest winner in over 40 years.
